Step 1: Chat with Dr. Glimmerfin

First things first, to grab your submarine, you need to speak with Dr. Glimmerfin. You can find this quirky scientist at the Mariana’s Veil opening, which is at the coordinates X= -1439, Y= 130, Z= 511, near Roslit Bay. When you talk to Dr. Glimmerfin, he’ll tell you about his broken submarine and how you can help him fix it.

He’ll give you a drill and a list of five essential parts you need to collect:

• Side Fins
• Back Fins
• Windows
• Submarine Top
• Metal Top

Step 2: Drill for Parts

Now, it’s time to get those parts! Head behind the submarine to find some obsidian rocks. Equip the drill that Dr. Glimmerfin gave you and click to start drilling. You might not find parts right away – it can take a bit of luck, so don’t get discouraged. Keep drilling, and remember, the rocks respawn, so you can keep trying as long as you need!

Step 3: Assemble the Submarine

• Blisterback Blenny
• Infernal Iguanafish

You can farm Lava Crystals by drilling lava rocks and fish for the other items. Once you have everything, place them on the podium, and voilà! Your submarine is now upgraded!

Ice Upgrade

Next, you’ll want to prepare your submarine for the icy waters of the Challenger’s Deep. You’ll need:

• Ice Crystal
• Cryoskin
• Polar Prowler
• Glimmerfin Suit Level 1 (you should already have this from the Heat upgrade)

Fish in the chilly waters to collect the Ice upgrade items. After you gather them all, place them just like before, and now your submarine is ready to brave the cold!
